Each year, Houston Ballet’s Ben Stevenson Academy hosts a six-week-long summer intensive, offering classes ranging from ballet technique to modern to hip-hop. In recent years we’ve also added career studies classes, taught by Houston Ballet staff, which allow young dancers to learn more about ballet from a production or administrative point of view. You can find pictures from production director Tom Boyd’s recent set design class here. The results are extraordinary–we’re very lucky to have such talented participants both on the stage and at the drafting table. Enjoy!
