
USITT Conference
March 31, 2008Houston Ballet’s production department recently participated in the United States Institute of Theatre Technology (USITT) Annual Conference and Stage Expo in Houston on March 19-22. Not only did they set up an amazing display of Houston Ballet’s past productions, but production director Tom Boyd and wardrobe shop supervisor Laura Lynch also presented a session on designing and executing lavish ballet productions, and discussed how that is different from preparing for typical theatre productions. The USITT Conference provided a unique opportunity for our production staff to display all their hard work in front of an international audience. Here are a few pictures from the conference:
